Additional Driver Fee
It can be a good idea sharing the driver's seat on long road trips. Rather than one person doing all the driving on a long trip, it is much better to give them an opportunity to take a rest. So if you are planning on adding an additional driver to your booking, here is some important information you need to be aware of.
Is there a fee for additional drivers?
In some cases, there is a fee for additional drivers. They will need to present their licence at the depot to counter staff in order to be added to the rental agreement. Some supplier's will charge an additional fee to add an extra driver.
Some suppliers consider the renter's immediate family, or their employees, as authorized drivers. Therefore they are not required to sign an additional driver form, however they will still have to present a valid driver's licence at the time of pick up.

Requirements for drivers
Driver's Licence: Drivers must have a full licence held for more than 12 months for them to be eligible in hiring a car in Australia via VroomVroomVroom. P Plater including restricted and learners licence are not acknowledged.
Age Surcharge: Drivers age 21 to 25 years old will have to pay an additional fee. You can find the rates in the Terms and Conditions of each supplier so make sure to check that out when booking a car hire.
