How to Add Extras to Your Car Rental Booking

With VroomVroomVroom, it is easy to add extras to your booking on our website or using our app​.

When making your booking, you’ll see the options to add a GPS unit or child seat below your chosen vehicle details. By selecting the GPS unit and child seat, the cost will be added to your booking total.

This feature is not available for all suppliers and locations, and if you don’t see the ability to add extras to your booking online or in our app please call our customer care experts​ to arrange for your booking.

Things to consider if you need to add a car seat to your booking

The age of your child will determine what type of child car seat​​​ you will need to add to your booking. As a general rule:

  • Rear-facing car seat for 6 to 12 month old
  • Forward-facing car seat 6 months to 4 years old
  • Booster seat from 4 years to 7 years old

Car rental suppliers will generally charge a per-day fee to add a seat to your booking.

If you want to add a child seat to your booking, you can do so by contacting our Customer Care Team and advising the age of the child. If pick-up is more than 48-hours away, you can request a child seat when you make your booking.

Things to consider when adding a GPS to your booking

Get from A to B stress-free by adding a GPS​​ device to your car hire booking. A GPS device will usually be around AUD$10 - AUD$16 per day. Most suppliers will offer a GPS device that doesn’t need you to install it, simply clip it into its holder and get on the road knowing you’ve got the most up-to-date directions.

If you've already made your booking . . .

If you've already booked your rental car, and you decide you would like to have a GPS when you arrive, you can still make the request. Just contact our Customer Care Team and they will confirm the request for you. You are able to reply to your confirmation email as well and advise if you would like to request any extras.
