Black Point Culture Centre is located at the Black Point Ranger Station on the Cobourg Peninsula. A visit to the centre gives travellers an insight into the Cobourg Peninsula's colorful history. The centre contains historical items and evidences from the Macassan Trading and the early Victorian settlement.

Garig Gunak Barlu National Park is northeast of Darwin, deep in Arnhem Land. The national park is popular for its white sand beaches, clear blue waters and rich flora and fauna. The park's highlights include its freshwater billabongs, fishing spots (e.g., Corroboree Billabong and Shady Camp), monsoon forest, paperbark forest and rich wildlife. Victoria Settlement is within Garig Gunak Barlu National Park on the Cobourg Peninsula. The settlement is now in ruins, but its remains are the evidence of the failed British settlement that started in 1838 on the peninsula before the settlers were driven away by disease and isolation. A special permit is needed to get into the national park.
