What Is the Minimum Age to Rent a Campervan in Australia

Campervan minimum age

For most suppliers, the minimum age to rent a campervan is 21. This is the same for car rentals as well. Some rental companies will allow people under the age of 21 to rent a vehicle if they hold a valid driver's licence and pay a young driver's surcharge. Depending on the campervan rental supplier, those under 21 may only be able to rent certain vehicles. Double check with the campervan rental company to see what this means for you and there specific requirements.

In certain instances, campervan companies may allow those 18 years and older to rent a campervan, however they may be required to purchase additional insurance cover.
