The Witness Annual Flower Festival.
 
Toowoomba is nationally renowned for its annual Flower Festival in September. 
 
Many of the city's major parks and gardens are especially prepared for the Festival. It enjoys four distinct seasons and the rich volcanic soil in the region helps maintain the 150 public parks that are scattered across the city. 
The Festival is not just about a Parade with flower-themed floats, it also includes a prominent Home Garden Competition where people are allowed to visit participating homes and gardens for inspections. A popular way of arriving at the Festival from Brisbane is on specially chartered retired steam or diesel train that will make you feel the way of traveling to Toowoomba in the 19th century.
 
Have a walk through Mort Estate.

Mort Estate was established in 1862 and its intriguing history and architecture can be seen and admired through a self-guided walk in the precinct.
 
The pleasant walk starts and finishes at Toowoomba's historic Railway Station. Follow the trail and you will se historic sites along Taylor Street, Boulton Terrace, Norwood Street and Mort Streets.

Russell Street will lead you to landmarks that depict excellent historic architecture which dates back to the 1860's. The trail starts at the Railway Station on Railway Street. It continues west to Kensington Street and then returns east to the fascinating shop fronts in the city centre.
 
 
Enjoy the scenery in the Koonin Lookout via Crows Nest  Falls.
 In Crows Nest National Park, Crows Nest Falls plummets 25 meters into Crows Nest Creek.
 
Beyond Crows Nest Falls lookout, the Koonin lookout track curves away from Crows Nest Creek through an open forest. Here, you are rewarded by a spectacular view of a deep gorge locally known as the Valley of Diamonds.
 
 “Koorin” is the Aboriginal word for hoop pine. And hoop pine can be found beside the creek which is 120 meters below the lookout.
 
Now, you can enjoy the view, listen for the bell-like call of thee spotted pardalote from the valley below and absorb the beauty of nature's wonders.

Picnic Point is a Toowoomba icon. It is a beautifully landscaped parkland with playgrounds, barbecue and picnic facilities and magnificent lookouts over the city and the Lockyer Valley.
Picnic Point is considered as one of the best places where you can appreciate Toowoomba's location ? on the top edge of the Great Dividing Range.
