Grandpas Guide to Driving in Ballina
A nice morning to you my dear friends! I slept well last night which means that I am totally in a good mood today! I did a few minutes of jogging and walking in the park. And after returning home, I was really delighted to see that my breakfast is waiting for me at the kitchen —omelet and bacon, two of my favorites. And now that I’m done eating and I’ve washed my plate, I think I’ll tell you another of my unforgettable trips. This time, it’s in Ballina, New South Wales, Australia.
I rented a car from vroomvroomvroom.com.au (Vroom Vroom Vroom Company) and enjoyed the luxury of a cheap but very elegant car!
Ballina, the seat of the Ballina Shire Council Local Government Area, is a town located on the North Coast of New South Wales.
Ballina is situated on the Pacific Highway, and was established on the northern shore of the Richmond River near Cape Byron. It is about 750 kilometers north of Sydney and about 205 kilometers south of Brisbane. It is also home to the world’s largest prawn —made of concrete and fiberglass.
My trip:
1. Angels BeachLocated in East Ballina, Angels Beach is a surfing beach that offers a natural area for recreations such us dog-walking, bushwalking, swimming, and surfing —activities that appeal to both tourists and locals alike.
2. Flat Rock Tent ParkFlat Rock Tent Park faces the Angels Beach and is surrounded by coastal bush land. The Park is also the ultimate beachside hideaway. FRTP is adjacent to the renowned Flat Rock, thus making the park a hidden treasure.
The park is only a short drive from Ballina and Lennox Head has gas heating for the amenities and safety lighting around the park.
Flat Rock Tent Park is the best place for secluded camping holidays.
3. Lake Ainsworth Holiday ParkSituated beside the coastal freshwater tea tree lake of Ainsworth, the Lake Ainsworth Holiday Park is next to the Seven Mile Beach, renowned among surfing enthusiasts for its world famous right hand point break.
The park is only a short drive from Ballina and Byron Bay and is an easy walking distance to the; fresco dining and boutique specialty shops of Lennox Head Village.
Alongside the park, picturesque barbecue settings and water activities such as windsurfing, canoeing, and sailing are also available.
Another perfect place for a coastal holiday, Lake Ainsworth is another of Ballina’s treasures.
Yes, Ballina is an attractive place.
Truly divine —Ballina and its fantastic parks and beaches!
