Looking to switch the city for the sea? If so, Coolum may just be the perfect place for a day trip. Unlike its close relative, Noosa, this place exudes small town vibes. Don’t fear, there are still delicious cafes, places to stay and enough buzz to remain interesting — but Coolum also has amazing vibes that are not quite like anywhere else.

Top attractions: The beach is the main attraction here, and for good reason. We recommend relaxing at First Bay and going for lunch at one of the many nearby cafes.

Tips: Try visiting Coolum through the week, as it is a lot quieter then. It’s also worth checking out the boardwalk along the beachside at sunset for magical views.

Recommended car: Cruise in style along the coast in a luxury convertible.

Directions: Take M1 to Sunshine Motorway/State Route 70 in Coolum Beach.
