AGE is always based on date of birth of the renter

AGE 21 - 75 Years: Groups A B D E F T Q R O K S Z

AGE 25-65 Years: Groups W and N

The renter and additional drivers must be in possession of a valid national or International Driving Licence. Other nationals who hold a valid driving licence in English can drive in Malaysia for a maximum of 3 months. Probational licence holders will not be accepted.

Rates are for a minimum of 24 hours rental. Additional hours will be calculated at one fifth of the daily rate, per hour up to a maximum of 5 hours.

A repositioning charge will be levied for one way rentals. Details on the charges and procedures will be made available at time of enquiry. A minimum of 3 days rental is required for this option.

All Hertz cars are strictly prohibited from being driven into Brunei, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.

In addition to this, vehicles may not be taken on ferries, vehicles picked up in East Malaysia may not travel outside of East Malaysia and vehicles picked up in West Malaysia may not travel to East Malaysia.

Additional drivers are free of charge up to a maximum of 3 drivers per vehicle. Minimum rental age and other requirements will be the

same as for the primary driver. Additional authorised drivers must be registered on an additional driver's application. The application forms part of the Rental Agreement.

All rates are subject to 6% Government Service Tax (GST)

This option is termed as Liability Reduction Option (LRO) at Hertz Malaysia.

The renter shall be held responsible for all damages caused to the vehicle, including theft regardless fault. Upon the renter's acceptance and subject to the terms and conditions stipulated in the Rental Agreement, the renter's liability is limited to the Excess Fee. If the renter has agreed to accept the LRO and make a police report within 24 hours of an accident or theft, Hertz shall be entitled to charge the renter a maximum excess fee

Groups: A B D E F T Q H O K L R S Z have an excess fee of RM2,200 with the purchase of LRO at RM2015 per day

Groups: W and N have an excess fee of RM5,300 with the purchase of LRO at RM40 per day.

Additional purchase of Super Liability Reduction Option (SLRO) on Groups: A B D E F T Q H O K L R S Z at RM30 per day will entitle the renter to zero excess.

Additional purchase of Super Liability Reduction Option (SLRO) on Groups:N W at RM70 per day will entitle the renter to zero excess.

Insurance and Other Coverages

Rates include unlimited mileage, maintenance, passenger liability protection and insurance coverage of third party property damage up to RM3,000,000.00 and unlimited for third party bodily injuries.

Groups N and W havae a maximum excess fee of RM5,300 with the purchase of LRo at RM40 per day.

The renter may also purchase PAI for a coverage of up to RM150,000 at a fee of RM15 per day for all cars. The PAI covers permanent disability and deaths, which includes medical expenses of RM2,000 per person per accident based on maximum seating capacity of 5 for a car or 4WD and 8 for an MPV.

Every Hertz vehicle is rented out with a full tank of fuel and must be returned the same. Otherwise the renter will be charged for a refill upon return based on Hertz fuel tariffs.
