How to Find a Specific Car Hire
A guide to finding the right vehicle using VroomVroomVroom
Here's a quick tip: Sometimes the larger cars will sit cheaper than small cars as the suppliers will often have an oversupply of big cars. Make sure to check both filters.
What does 'Or Similar' mean?
Under the "vehicle group" you'll see a name of the specific car model and 'or similar' note next to it. For example, "Hunday i30 or similar". This means that you are booking a car that matches from that category and not a particular model. It is not possible to get 'or similar' lists from the suppliers.
Can I book a specific car hire model?
VroomVroomVroom and the suppliers DON'T guarantee you will get a specific rental car model since actual cars change frequently. However, please contact our fabulous Customer Care Team and let them know about your choice and request. We always strive to help.
Below are some clever ways which can help increase your chances of finding a perfect ride.
- Book early. Making an early reservation is your best chance of finding a specific hire car. Late reservation means you will more likely just be provided whatever the rental agency has left.
- Pick a big rental centre as you will probably have more luck of booking a particular model at bigger airports and large rental depots where they have many cars available.
- Select a luxury vehicle. Doing this will increase your chances of getting the exact car. However, expect big deposit up front, not to mention high-cost rental fees.
- Consider paying extra for a guarantee from a specific car hire company such as Hertz, which has special collection models. But remember that you may have to commit to using just this rental car company, and again will need to pay a higher fee for the opportunity.
Can I reserve a specific car colour?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a specific colour. Our Customer Care Team will contact the supplier and can only make a note about your preferences only.
