Can you have your hire car delivered to you?

It would be nice, but rental car providers in Australia generally do not offer this service. All is not lost though.
It’s common in many countries for rental car providers to offer delivery to your nominated address when you book a rental car. However, in Australia, the major car rental companies — Avis, Budget, East Coast, Europcar, Hertz, and Thrifty — do not offer an option to have your rental car delivered.
Tips to consider instead of having a rental car delivered
Choose the closest depot to your location. Remember, many major car rental brands have suburban depots in addition to their CBD and airport locations.
Major airports and most regional airports are serviced by at least one of the major car rental providers—if not all.
Look for a depot that is close to public transport. This way, you’ll be able to get to and from the depot easily.
Consider your arrangements for both collecting and returning your rental car to the depot. Sometimes, customers may only think about the collection and forget to plan for the return.
