Bathurst is located on the banks of the Macquarie River in the Central Tablelands Region of New South Wales. It is approximately 200 km by car from the west of Sydney. This place is home to the Wiradjuri people and is the site of Australia's oldest inland European settlement.

Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit

The Mount Panorama Racing Circuit is 6.213 kilometers in length, about 874 meters above sea level and a scenic drive. It was opened in 1938 to the public and became the home of motor racing in Australia. It started its career as a dusty country track but now, Mount Panorama Racing Circuit is included at the world's top 3 motor racing circuits.

Mount Panorama is also the home of Australia's oldest rifle range that also provides facilities for other sports such as archery and clay pigeon shooting, the Panorama Motorcycle Club, and the BathurstLightCarClub. There is also a flora reserve located at the top of the mountain.

Abercrombie Caves

The Abercrombie Caves is about an hour's drive from Bathurst on the Trunkey CreekinGoulburnRoad. It is a perfect place for bird watching and photography. On-site units and a cottage are available. There are also hot showers, laundry facilities, and a kiosk in the area.

Aside from the many caves, Abercrombie Caves features the largest and most famous natural arch located in the southern hemisphere. It includes the historic gold miners dance platform that is more than 120 years old and it is still used today! Tours are available if you want to explore the area further.

The Grove Creek that runs through the heart of Abercrombie Caves is also a must see. And a few kilometers away, it falls over a cliff face about 70 meters below.

    Feedback: The site works really well to make each booking. Because this is a one way booking, I want to book a car for the return journey. This is not easy and I will resort to making a separate booking. It would be much easier to have a button labelled something like "make another booking".
