Perth is the capital and the largest city in Western Australia. It is also the fourth most populous city in Australia. Perth’s metropolitan area which has a population of approximately 1, 659, 000, is located in the south-west of the continent which is between the Indian Ocean and a low coastal escarpment known as the Darling Range.

1. King’s Park and Botanic Garden is in the top of our list. King’s Park and Botanic Garden is the most popular visitor destination in Western Australia. A garden which is visited by over 6 million people a year, this will certainly assure you that the garden is more than divine. The park area covers around 400.6 hectares and approximately 1.5km from the Central Business District of Perth which is situated in the Swan River. The Park is made up of marvelously cultivated gardens and open recreational areas and nearly 2/3 of the Park is natural bush land which contains 319 species of native plants and around 80 species of birds.
This beautiful garden offers an outstanding collection of Western Australia flora. It is a popular place for picnics, pleasant walks, cultural and ceremonial events.
2. Caversham Wildlife Park. The Park is located 15km from the center of Perth, situated at the entrance of the Swan Valley. This Park is great for kids and adults. Caversham Wildlife Park is situated in Whiteman Park and houses one of the largest collections of native fauna in Western Australia. The Park is a place where animals are given the area to roam around freely which gives the visitors a chance to see them up close and to feed them themselves.
There are plenty of picnic areas, barbecues and a restaurant available within the Park. Another activity that you can enjoy in the Caversham Wildlife Park is that you can watch the farm show which features sheep shearing demonstrations, working sheep dogs, billy swinging, bottle feeding the lambs, milking the cow and stockman on horseback. 5. The Nambung National Park. The Park contains the Pinnacles Desert which is one of Australia's most unique and captivating landscapes. The Desert is made up of spectacular limestone rock structures which appear to rise from the desert sand. There are now over 150 000 of these fascinating formations standing up to 5 meters tall. Some of the Pinnacles have a tombstone-like shape while others rise from the desert plain in jagged columns. This quizzical view will surely stir up your curiosity.
