The painstakingly restored building, put up in the 1850’s, took to many functions as a stable, a church, and even a black smith’s shop. But it’s top priority was serving as a station where stage coaches travelling on the Adelaide-Willunga route would stop to change their horses. Think of it as stopping for gas.
