Grandpa’s Guide to Driving in Plympton

Hello, mates! How’s the weather? It’s raining here right now. I had to keep indoors. Drank some hot cocoa to pass the time. I turned on the telly and saw this special on TV, about racial diversity and people starting to live in peace and harmony. It tickled my heartstrings.

It reminds me of a certain suburb in Adelaide, South Australia. This suburb is called Plympton and that name was given by Henry Mooringe Boswarva and Plympton is quite renowned for its diverse ethnic composition. People from all walks of life have found a home here and you, as a prospective traveller might find a temporary one in it as well. The community is warm and friendly enough. You should definitely give it a shot.

The first thing you’ve got to get settled before coming to Plympton is your car rental. It’s something non-negotiable, so to say. It’s a must in my own opinion. How’d you like going on public transport? All the long waits and uncomfortable seats? No, you don’t want that. So come on over to www.vroomvroomvroom.com.au and choose from the best car rental deals that can fit your budget!

Now you’ve got that aspect of your trip sorted, it’s high time I tell you what to see in dear old Plympton. There are surely many things to do here and I’ll dish you in on the most exciting ones! So ready your ears, listen well!

1. Cleland Conservation Park

Cleland Conservation Park is a goldmine of potential memories. For just 15 dollars, you can actually hold, in your very own arms, a real-live koala! And have your picture taken with it to boot. Besides that you can also take a stroll amongst kangaroos, wallabies and bettongs! If you wish to, you can buy some wildlife feed and gratify a kangaroo’s appetite. It’s such am awesome experience! One you should prioritize on having!

2. Escapegoat

If you’re a self-declared adrenaline junkie, you’re going to love this next activity! It’s the Escapegoat Adventure Day Trip! Mountain Bike across Adeliade. Do Hills, Wines and Vines with two wheels and pedal power! It’s a completely guided tour, accompanied by a Minibus in case anyone needs anything so you don’t have to worry much about needing first aid, or wondering where to put all your purchases (you might want to buy some bottles from the winery) as you cycle on. This trip is certainly going to satisfy your action-adventure fix!

3. Adelaide Zoo

Your last destination is a treat for all ages. Adelaide Zoo, the second-oldest Aussie zoo showcases a marvellous landscaper and over 1,400 native and exotic animals. The highlight of the zoo is the Immersion where visitors can actually walk through a jungle with Sumatran Tigers and Orangutans seemingly within reach. No worries, mate. They said ‘seemingly’ because the Orangutans and the Tigers can’t actually hurt you. Close enough to see, not close enough to touch.

If you want a cuter, gentler type of sight, maybe you’d be interested in Adelaide Zoo’s Giant Panda exhibit. Get to see the adorably big and fluffy Giant Pandas, Wang Wang and Funi. Boy, even their names are irresistible!

So come along to Plympton and enjoy the sights and sounds and especially the mix of people. You can’t go wrong. Have a safe trip, mates! Remember to have lots of fun! Until my next guide!

Cheers!
