Grandpa’s Guide to Driving in North Shields

Fine day out, don’t you agree? Nevertheless, I spent the day in, sipping coffee and reading travel magazines. These babies are where I get my ideas, really. I read about other places and try to relate them to the places I’ve already been. That’s how I make my amazing guides. Haha!

Found in the South Australian capital of Adelaide is the suburb of North Shields. It’s a quaint little place, perfect for a relaxing getaway. So if your aim is to escape the hustle and bustle of work, North Shields has what you’re looking for.

A concern of every traveller is a mode of transport. What you’d like to have when you’re in North Shields is your very own car rental. It’s a no fuss, no mess deal. You can drive wherever you want whenever you want to and that’s the beauty of being able to rent your own private vehicle. You can find everything you need here at www.vroomvroomvroom.com.au so don’t hesitate, click on the link!

So let’s start with the list of places you should visit while you’re in North Shields, shall we?

1.Mister Wood’s Café

While you’re still in the suburbs, the first thing you might want to do is check out Mister Woods Café. Their menu consists of fair-trade items of delicious coffee, tea, sandwiches and piping hot soups! And if you’re conscious about your calorie-intake they even offer ‘Skinny Cakes’ and gluten-free cakes. Or have a taste of their ice cream and milkshakes. There’s nothing that keeps the heat away like a chocolate milkshake with a generous dollop of whipped cream. All those delectable delights and more, only at Mister Wood’s Café!

2. Hinck’s Conservation Park

Found roughly 8 miles away from North Shields is Hinck’s Conservation Park. Since access to this park is limited (you should definitely contact the Port Lincoln District Office for further instructions), you can enjoy a special, semi-secluded tour around the park. Have the places for yourselves, so to speak. What you really need to see here at Hinck’s are the infinite sand dunes. Let the vastness of it all amaze you.

3. Lincoln National Park
Your final stop has to be Lincoln National Park, about 4 miles away from North Shields. It resides in the Jussieu Peninsula and a couple of islands close by. There are tons of activities to do here. You can immerse yourself in woodcutting or even try something exotic like guano mining! Do you know what guano is? Well, it’s bat feces. It’s important because people can use it for gunpowder and fertilizer. Yeah, Lincoln National Park has many more interesting things you can come across. Enough to keep you amused for days!

That’s all for North Shields, folks! Have a happy trip! Remember to take lots of photos. There’s nothing like proof that you had fun. So snap away!
