Grandpas Guide to Driving in Campbelltown

Good afternoon! Some of my grand-kids came this morning and helped out with our general cleaning before the holidays. The start of their Christmas vacation was kinda early. And it was so thoughtful of them to come and visit their granddad and help with the chores.

Speaking of activities after the start of Christmas break: Back in college, I went to a road trip first before going home. I rented a car from the Vroom Vroom Vroom Company (vroomvroomvroom.com.au) and went to Campbelltown.  Well, being a a student, I have limited allowance. I was able to rent a car because Vroom Vroom Vroom allows its clients to avail the best car rentals in cheap prices.

Campbelltown in a suburb located in southwestern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is about 51 kilometers from the southwest area of the Sydney central business district. Campbelltown is also the administrative center for the local government area of Campbelltown City.

Aside from being the major commercial center and the central business district of southwestern Sydney, it is also the central business district of the Macarthur Region.

Campbelltown is popular for its strong sporting culture which compliments the fact that many notable athletes such as Bronwyn Eagles who was an Australian Olympic athlete, Jim Piper who was an Australian breaststroke swimmer, and many more.

About my trip:

1. Campbelltown Arts Centre

Campbelltown Arts Centre is located at the south of the main town center that caters to hundreds of thousands per year. They have a state-of-the-art facility which gives them the edge in hosting an annual program of contemporary arts workshops encompassing music, film, theatre, dance literature, food, and new media. They also host a wide variety of events, concerts, stage shows, festivals, and performances.

Outside the Centre is Koshigaya-tei, a Japanese Teahouse and Gardens which was a Bicentennial gift of its sister city Koshigaya to the people of Campbelltown. The Teahouse Garden is very ideal for picnic lunches, weddings, or if you like, tranquil comtemplation.

2. Campbelltown Heritage Walk

I joined the Campbelltown Heritage Walk. I can say that if you really want to get up close and personal with Campbelltown, this is the best way to do it. You'll  be able to walk around Campbelltown and will be given a chance to see Campbelltown's historical sites such as the State Heritage Registered Post Office, the CBC Bank, and the Dredges Cottage and Warbys Barn and Stables.

Well, I think that's about my trip in Campbelltown. I'd better get back to work. We're almost done with our task.  Christmas is just around the corner!

Happy Holidays! Enjoy Campbelltown
