Grandpas Guide to Driving in Brunswick Heads

A beautiful dawn to you my friends. It's past 12 midnight and I still can't sleep. I've already done a lot of reading to keep myself preoccupied so that I'll feel tired, and finally I'll be able to go to sleep. Hmm. I think I'm just a little bothered because my favorite granddaughter sent me an email a while ago and I could feel that  she's really depressed and said that she and her boyfriend broke up. Well, that is what I call puppy love.

I remember a time when I was still a young lad and had enjoyed one of my first travels and road trips. I brought my girlfriend to Brunswick Head because the place has a lot of reserves. And my girlfriend at that time really, likes birdwatching.

We rented a car for our trip. But during that time, booking a car was really tiring and stressful and online booking wasn't really discovered yet. Your generation is lucky because you can easily book cars online. I'd like to recommend to you this link: vroomvroomvroom.com.au. The site allows you to avail the cheapest car rental with the best car qualities! And very excellent customer services too. Now, let me tell you an overview about Brunswick Heads.

Brunswick Heads is municipality in Byron Shire, New South Wales, Australia. It has a population of about 1,614 people.

Brunswick Heads is also a small north coast holiday village located at the entrance of Brunswick River. The northern banks of the river hosts a protected rainforest while the southern banks provide a habor and small marina for fishing boats and small crafts. The Mount Chincogan and Mount Warning gives the spectacular hinterland background to the river that meanders up to the small village of Mullumbimby also known as “The Biggest Little Town in Australia”.

Even though Brunswick Heads has a developed coastal area, it has still retained its cultural seaside village atmosphere. Brunswick Heads was made famous by the song “When we were Young” by the Sneaky Sound System. The song features the title of a local restaurant in the first verse -Sticky Fingers.

Our trip:

1. Brunswick Nature Reserve

The Brunswick Nature Resevre is 20 kilometers north of Byron Bay at Brunswick Heads, just off the Pacific Highway.

In the Reserve, you can enjoy relaxing picnics, bushwalks, and river fishing. You can also see the beautiful overlapping of the diverse plants and different bird species -from north and southeast Australia- because the Reserve is a vital stepping stone for migrating birds.

2. Tyagarah Nature Reserve

The Tyagarah Nature Reserve is a thin strip of protected coast encompassing 7 kilometers of secluded and unspoiled beach, backed by coastal heath.

You can have peaceful walks, indulge in a spot to enjoy birdwatching, or go fishing within a stone's throw of the Byron Bay township. Picnic facilities are also available but camping is prohibited.

If you're interested in coming to this beautiful place, travel 10 kilometers north of Byron Bay along the Grays Lane, off the Pacific Highway.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our visit their because for her, being close to nature with the person you love is truly romantic. The ironic part is that after several months, we broke up. Well, that's life. If we didn't broke up, I wouldn't meet the real woman of my dreams!

Love is a cycle. Once a relationship ends, a new one begins.
