Grandpas Guide to Driving in Bankstown

My, my. A sweet afternoon to you my dear readers. I had a wonderful day. I went strolling around our neighborhood and I realized that I really like the feeling of my legs being warmed up. Kinda uplifting.

I had a great view of the neighborhood —the green trees beside the streets, the pets running in the lawns, the children playing while their parents are having nice chats and conversations, and the sunny weather. I can say that this day is one of the so called “beautiful days”.

When I arrived home, I immediately felt like writing because I am totally in a good mood. I’d like to share with you about one of my many travel destinations. And this afternoon, I’ll be writing about the pleasing suburb of Bankstown.

Bankstown is a suburb in the southwestern Sydney. It is located about 20 kilometers from the Sydney central business district in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Bankstown is also the administrative center of the local government area of Bankstown City.

The Bankstown central business district is crowded together around the Bankstown Railway Station. The Bankstown Plaza beside the railway station is a commercial area where you’ll see restaurants, eateries, and cafes.

My trip:

1. Mcleod Reserve

The Mcleod Reserve is a park situated on the Hume Highway in Bankstown, New South Wales, Australia.

The Reserve isn’t just an ordinary park. It has been a venue of some of Bankstown’s history.

The first public school in Bankstown —Chruch of England School— was built where Mcleod Reserve is currently situated in 1880. The school was demolished in 1924 because of the development of the North Bankstown School.

Suita, Osaka, Japan became Bankstown’s first sister city in March 1989. And in August 1999, a friendship garden was established within the Reserve to signify Bankstown’s sister city relationship with Suita.

2. Bankstown City Gardens

The Bankstown City Gardens were opened to the public in 1973. The gardens are home of many unusual types of flora found in Bankstown and the nearby area. The park has also different featured areas —native, tropical, rose garden, and Perennial.

I visited two of Bankstown’s prominent parks and there, I saw how beautifully history have progressed in the area.

During my trip there, I had assistance from the Vroom Vroom Vroom Company in finding the best car for my trip. So, if you’re planning to avail a car hire, vroomvroomvroom.com.au (Vroom Vroom Vroom’a car hire link) is the perfect link to type in your browser because you won’t only experience a very easy and affordable way of booking a car. You will also be overwhelmed by their excellent customer service.

So what are you waiting for? Share the good vibes and look forward to a very delightful trip in Bankstown, New South Wales!

Experiencing a very nice day!
-Grandpa Ben
