Canberra is the eighth largest and the capital city of Australia. It has a population of over 345, 000 and is also Australia’s largest inland city. Canberra is located at the northern end of the Australian Capital Territory, 280 km south-west of Sydney and 600 km north-east of Melbourne. The city's design is heavily influenced by the garden city movement and incorporates significant areas of natural vegetation that have earned Canberra the title of the "bush capital".

1. Australian War Memorial
It is Australia's national memorial to the members of all its armed forces and supporting organizations who have died or participated in the wars of the Commonwealth of Australia. In the NGA, you will be able to see more then 120, 000 artworks which contains Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, as well as Australian, Asian and international works.

It is considered as one of the most complex buildings in the southern hemisphere and the center of Australian politics. This is the meeting facility of the Parliament of Australia.
4. National Zoo and Aquarium
Fourth in Canberra’s attraction is the “National Zoo and Aquarium”. It is the only combined zoo and aquarium in Australia which means there are two attractions in one place. Its land area is approximately 7 hectares and is only about 5 minutes from the center of Canberra. The zoo and aquarium contains a wild variety of both native and exotic animals and it also has the largest inland saltwater tank in Australia. You can enjoy a casual stroll around the park or have a picnic with family and friends in the picnic areas. 5. Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex
Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex is a ground station that is located in Tidbinbilla at the Paddys River valley and is about half an hour's drive out of Canberra. The complex is part of the Deep Space Network run by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and is one of just three in the world.
At the center of the complex, you will see a Moon rock that weighs 142 grams and is the largest piece of Moon rock outside the United States. Also in CDSCC, flight paths of manned missions and satellites can be tracked. Models and some very interesting film and photographic records of various space missions can be seen in the visitor center.
