How to get there: Getting to the Ekka by bus or train is easy, there are extra dedicated services daily. There are ample parking areas if you are wanting to drive, however the rates can be quite high.

Where to stay: Situated only 2.5km from Brisbane central, the city is the ideal place for out of towners to stay. Surrounding suburbs are Windsor and the Fortitude Valley.

General information: Known as the Ekka to locals, the Exhibition or The Royal Queensland Show is ten days of fun in Brisbane for all ages. There are heaps of events and attractions at the RNA Showground, including fireworks, concerts, displays, fashion parades, prize-winning animals, craft and food. Plus there's always the fun of the rides in Sideshow Alley, tonnes of showbags and live music.

New South Wales

How to get there: Best way to get to the show is with a ShowLink Ticket. The all-inclusive ShowLink tickets are great value and make your trip to the Show easy. The all-in-one ticket includes entry into the Show and return travel on CityRail services, Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses, regular Sydney Buses and Sydney Ferries. Tickets are valid for single entry use on any of the 14 Show days.

The Sydney Royal Easter Show is the largest annual event in Australia, running for 14 days over the Easter period and attracting nearly a million showgoers each year.

The Show aims to highlight Australian agricultural excellence through Competitions and education. Approximately 15,000 competitors submit some 35,000 entries for judging in over 40 diverse Sydney Royal Competitions spanning livestock, domestic animals, District Exhibits, apiculture, poultry, arts, woodchopping and horticulture and many more.

There plenty to do with rides, races, food, fashion, and countless showbags to choose from, everyone will find something to entertain.

How to get there: Public transport is the easiest way to get to the Show. Catch the bus or train to the Claremont Showgrounds. Bus numbers 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 98/99, (Circle route) 102, 103, and 107 all stop near the Showgrounds or take the Fremantle line train that stops at the Showgrounds.
