Cruise from the centre of Brisbane on a high- speed catamaran. This service is used by both locals and tourists to travel the river. It's a fun, scenic cruise and it's pretty cheap- so it's also a good transport option for the CBD.

Take a paddle along the Pine River (25 minutes north west from downtown Brisbane). Or head whale watching at Moreton Bay (a 35 minute drive north from downtown Brisbane).

Mt Cootha (left) is Brisbane's premier and most romantic viewpoint of the whole city. On a clear night you can see the Gold Coast! You can find Mount Cootha near the Botanical Gardens in the Toowong/ Stuartholme area.
